Transcending Adversity: Trauma-Informed Educational Development

The purpose of this article is to reflect on the pertinence and utility using a trauma-informed lens in educational development. A approach framework grounded an understanding responsiveness impact trauma. After I describe primary source traumatic stress many faculty members are experiencing, offer suggestions for how developers can help mitigate effects that stress. Importantly, order do work supporting effectively sustainably, it critical continue attend their own well-being. overarching theme importance cultivating empowering relationships engage improving design development inclusive equitable student learning experiences.
